Why we built it this way
AI Picks What It Can Read
People ask AI now. Where should we eat tonight? Who's a good electrician near here? What's on this weekend? The answer comes back with a few names, and those names belong to the businesses and events the AI could actually read.
Most chamber directories and visitor sites weren't built for that. Listings sit on a vendor's subdomain, behind a search box, with little a machine can make sense of. So the AI recommends someone else's town, or someone else's member.
Every page Hiveway makes lives on your own domain, with structured data underneath and a plain markdown twin beside it. A member's page, an event, a place to stay: each one is written so a person and an AI can both read it.
You can see it on this site. Add .md to the end of almost any address here, and you'll get the same page as plain text, the way an AI reads it.

Hiveway is made by Jeff and Amara, the two of us, at MXVEN, LLC. We've built websites for local businesses since 2009, and we're building Hiveway the way we build everything: simple, published prices, and nothing we wouldn't use ourselves.
